Cronkite News is a multiplatform news organization from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Among other projects for the program, Trilce had the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic to work on a visual story about baseball players' dreams of migrating to the MLB.

Thanks to her professional background, Trilce was awarded a fellowship as a research assistant for the RWJF Southwest Health Reporting Initiative, where she worked on a team that created content in English and Spanish about health disparities affecting underserved communities.
Trilce also covered politics, gaining the opportunity to report on a wide range of topics, from elections to protests to government policy. She also had the chance to interview politicians and other figures.
