Trilce Estrada Olvera is an award-winning visual storyteller from Mexico City, living in the U.S. She creates documentaries and photojournalism stories exploring social and environmental issues to inspire positive change.
She has over ten years of professional experience in communication and multimedia. In her previous role at the Mexican Ministry of Health, she led a team of seven people to produce multimedia campaigns for COVID-19 prevention, showcased in presidential press conferences.
She decided to earn a master's degree in mass communication and journalism from the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State University to enhance her visual communication skills and advocate for social change. Among other grants and distinctions, she recently received a NATAS Rocky Mountain Emmy Student Production Award for her collaborative short documentary film "A Wall Runs Through It," which tells the story of the resistance activism movement that fought against the placement of shipping containers across Arizona's U.S.-Mexico border.
